My First Iftar Dinner 🌙🍽️

I came with Mum Jemma, Linaya, and Layla— and from the minute we got there, it just felt exciting. There were so many friendly faces, the food smelled amazing, and everyone was just happy to be there 😊

Let’s just talk about the food for a sec 😋 The chicken? 10/10 🔥 I kept going back for more and honestly could’ve kept eating forever, and the bread? Next level!! 🥖✨ I loved it so much I turned my Aryse lanyard into an Aryse bread bag to carry it around with me—yep, I’m that serious about bread!

I even took some home and brought it to school the next day - That was all mine!

Sam and Samar were running the event and were amazing. Sam was so nice, he saw how much I was loving the bread and gave me another whole bag to take home! I felt kinda famous, not gonna lie 😎📸

I’ve done a lot of networking now, but Sam was the very first person I ever spoke to while representing Marli and Moe - and it was on my 13th birthday! 🎉 I was a bit nervous at first 😅 but Sam was so kind and easy to talk to that we ended up laughing about how my business cards say “Boss Lady” on them - it's what the team has called me since I was little.

But it wasn’t just about the food (even though I definitely ate the most at the Marli and Moe family fun day lol) 🍴😂 It was also really cool hearing people share their culture, stories, working in the disability space and helping others. It made me think about how much people are doing to support each other 🤝

Thanks for reading,

🌈 Marli
