Choice and Control: Having a say in your services 🌈
Monday, January 27, 2025
Hi, I’m Marli! 🌟 One thing I’ve learned is that having choice and control over your services is super important. It’s not just about getting support—it’s about making sure the support fits you.
For example, imagine someone ordering food 🍔🍕 for you without asking what you like. What if they got something you can't or don't want to eat? 😖 That would feel pretty unfair, right? The same goes for services. You should have a say in who supports you, what they support you with, and how they do it.
You should always feel like your voice has been heard. 🗣️ It’s about asking, “What do you need? What’s important to you?” We help make sure your support matches your goals and your life—not someone else’s idea of what’s best.
Having a say means you get to choose things like:
✅ Who supports you (because it’s important to feel comfortable).
✅ When and how you get support (so it works with your schedule).
✅ What you want to focus on (like learning new skills or achieving big goals).
It’s your life, so your voice should lead the way. 💪 Speak up, ask questions, and don’t settle for less than what feels right for you. You deserve to feel in control.
Catch you later! ✌️
