🎉 Harmony Day at School – Laming-Town Stall 🎉

We celebrated Harmony Day at school on Thursday, and it was an exciting experience, filled with delicious food 🍜🍫 and a great sense of community 🤝💛. My friend Lily and I ran a food stall called Laming-Town, where we sold lamingtons 🥥🍰 and chocolate scrolls 🍫🥐 to raise money for the event.

☀️🍫 The Stall & The Heat

We spent three hours outside in 32-degree heat 🥵🔥, right in the middle of the day, making sure everyone got their treats. To buy food, students had to purchase tokens 🎟️ in advance and then use them at the different stalls. I originally planned to buy 30 lamingtons, but somehow ended up with 60! 😅

🌍 Celebrating Culture Through Food

One of the best parts of Harmony Day is trying different cultural foods 🍱🥟🌮. There were Greek dishes 🇬🇷, Chinese dumplings 🇨🇳, and so many other amazing flavours to experience! It’s always great to see everyone coming together and enjoying food from different backgrounds ❤️🌏.

✅ My go-to is always vegetable spring rolls (without sauce) 🥢🥬

✅ And of course, gravy on everything! 😆🍛

✨ A Bit About Me

I love learning about different cultures 📚🌎, and Harmony Day is the perfect way to do that! My background is English, Scottish, and Chinese 🇬🇧🏴🇨🇳, and I also know some Auslan (Australian Sign Language) 🤟💙. It’s always fun to share and learn from others! 😊

👕🧡 Dressing for the Occasion

To match the theme, I wore my Billie Eilish shirt 👕🎶 that had orange throughout—since orange is the official colour of Harmony Day! 🧡 It was a fun way to be part of the celebration while staying comfortable 😎✨.

🎊 A Day to Remember!

Overall, the day was a great success 🎉, and it was amazing to see everyone come together to appreciate different cultures 🌏🤗. I can’t wait for next year! 🎈🥳
