๐ŸŽ‰ Harmony Day at School โ€“ Laming-Town Stall ๐ŸŽ‰

We celebrated Harmony Day at school on Thursday, and it was an exciting experience, filled with delicious food ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿซ and a great sense of community ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’›. My friend Lily and I ran a food stall called Laming-Town, where we sold lamingtons ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿฐ and chocolate scrolls ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅ to raise money for the event.

โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿซ The Stall & The Heat

We spent three hours outside in 32-degree heat ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ”ฅ, right in the middle of the day, making sure everyone got their treats. To buy food, students had to purchase tokens ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ in advance and then use them at the different stalls. I originally planned to buy 30 lamingtons, but somehow ended up with 60! ๐Ÿ˜…

๐ŸŒ Celebrating Culture Through Food

One of the best parts of Harmony Day is trying different cultural foods ๐Ÿฑ๐ŸฅŸ๐ŸŒฎ. There were Greek dishes ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท, Chinese dumplings ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ, and so many other amazing flavours to experience! Itโ€™s always great to see everyone coming together and enjoying food from different backgrounds โค๏ธ๐ŸŒ.

๐Ÿฅข My Personal Favorites

โœ… My go-to is always vegetable spring rolls (without sauce) ๐Ÿฅข๐Ÿฅฌ

โœ… And of course, gravy on everything! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ›

โœจ A Bit About Me

I love learning about different cultures ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒŽ, and Harmony Day is the perfect way to do that! My background is English, Scottish, and Chinese ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿด๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ, and I also know some Auslan (Australian Sign Language) ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ’™. Itโ€™s always fun to share and learn from others! ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿงก Dressing for the Occasion

To match the theme, I wore my Billie Eilish shirt ๐Ÿ‘•๐ŸŽถ that had orange throughoutโ€”since orange is the official colour of Harmony Day! ๐Ÿงก It was a fun way to be part of the celebration while staying comfortable ๐Ÿ˜Žโœจ.

๐ŸŽŠ A Day to Remember!

Overall, the day was a great success ๐ŸŽ‰, and it was amazing to see everyone come together to appreciate different cultures ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿค—. I canโ€™t wait for next year! ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿฅณ
